Limewall & Co. is a New York–based finishing studio specializing in limewash and premium interior painting. We work with homeowners, renters, interior designers and brick-and-mortar businesses across New York and the tri-state area to bring softness, dimension, and natural character to walls — using time-honored, mineral-based materials applied by hand.
Every project is led personally, every wall is approached individually, and every finish is considered in the light and context of the specific space. We choose limewash because it breathes, it’s non-toxic, and it gets better with time.
Limewash transforms a room without adding a single object to it.
Made from slaked lime and natural mineral pigments, it’s applied in thin, hand-brushed coats that build into a finish with real depth and subtle variation. Unlike conventional paint, limewash doesn’t sit flat on a wall — it settles into a soft, cloud-like surface that shifts with the light throughout the day. The result is a room that feels warmer, more dimensional, and more alive, without a single piece of additional decor.
It’s also genuinely good for the home: zero-VOC, non-toxic, breathable, and naturally antimicrobial. For families, for renovations, for anyone who’d rather not introduce more chemistry into their walls — it’s a finish that does more with less.

A one-time founding program: we’re choosing fifteen New York City spaces — homes, rentals and storefronts across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens — to photograph for our portfolio, and offering our hand-applied limewash at thirty percent off in return. Once these fifteen are painted, the founding rate closes for good.
